Sometimes a book comes to our attention that is excellent. \u00a0We know you and your studetns of students who are studying World Explorations would especailly enjoy ADVENTURES ON THE ANCIENT SILK ROAD<\/a>, by Pricilla Galloway and Dawn Hunter. \u00a0Not only does this book give a great overview of the 2,000 years of journeys over this important route, but it highlights three famous explorers in-depth: \u00a0Xuanzana, Genghis Khan, and Marco Polo.<\/p>\n

The book is full of interesting details, wonderful illustrations– many historical images– as well as maps. We especially liked the sidebars on the animals of the regions along the road.<\/p>\n

Those of you who use our WORLD EXPLORERS <\/a>map (one of our most popular maps!) \u00a0will find this a wonderful addition to your classroom library!<\/p>\n
